"The Natural Bride"

As part of our Diploma we have to complete a Body Painting session, that's a complete body paint or detailed part look, on a model wearing little more than nipple covers and briefs.

So on a very, very cold day in May we made our way to Huzzard Studio's in Perth with paints, models and nerves in tow.  The results were nothing short of amazing!!  I've seen some absolutely stunning photo's come out of this session - Giraffes; Sailor Girls - the list goes on!!

Anyway, here are my photo's from my Body Painting session with the stunning Natasha, who came in last minute to help me out.  My theme was "The Natural Bride".  So apart from the 'natural' look makeup with soft smokey eye, light contouring and overall a very soft, romantic look she is also 'natural' as in Au Naturel!!

Thank you to Natasha for being amazing.  Aaron McPolin our amazing Photographer and Alistair, for believing in me.

A wedding by the beautiful Swan River

A lovely drive to the Mosman Park Boat House where I did the hair of two very lovely young ladies who were gearing up for a big day as Bridesmaids to the beautiful Jasmine.  They had the right idea with champer's in hand!!  Samantha and Lauren just wanted a simple curled low side ponytail and they were very happy with the result.  Hair Styling by Makeup Artistry with Shelley

Delphine's Wedding at Brookleigh

It was a beautiful day and this beautiful bride could not keep the smile off her face.  Delphine and I had met a couple of times before the big day, we did a trial for her and her mum and everytime I saw her she always had this big smile.  I love seeing someone so very happy and the look on the grooms face said it all as well!  Thank you to Verge Photography for these images.  Hair and Makeup by Makeup Artistry with Shelley

Photoshoot for Summer Bees Swimwear at Cottesloe

A cold and blustery day in January saw us down at Cottesloe foreshore for a fashion shoot for Summer Bees Swimwear.  What a great bunch of gals - not a word of complaint even though it was a bit nippy.  Hair and Makeup by Make Up Artistry with Shelley

Classic Vintage Looks

With the revival of all things adorably vintage here are some Classic Vintage looks.  Perfect for a wedding; special function or just a fun night with the girls or what about a Vintage Melbourne Cup!!

Starting with the 1940's with the Victory rolls and bright red lipstick.  Retro it up a little with some happy lashes and a little liner (or a lot)

Model: Linda Bateman

The 60's bring us the iconic beehive and how elegant would this look be for a wedding!  Sophisticated and stylish with a simple French Pleat to the back.  The Smokey eye and big lashes for a classic vintage look or retro it up with a bright lipstick and a simple winged eyeliner

Perth Zombie Walk

What an amazing day we had yesterday at the Perth Zombie Walk, we all got into the swing and dressed up for the occasion.  We had my husbands business Mobile Laser Quest there and we were kept pretty busy.  Our daughter Megan dressed as a Zombie Bride and had plenty of photographs taken of her.  At one point we spotted some Zombie Horses, where else do you take some photo's of a Zombie Bride but in front of the Zombie Horses.  So here she is:-

Base:- White Liquid Foundation
Contour:- Cocoa Contour
Lippy:- SmashBox Plum Scene
Eyes:- Kryolan shadow Black
Liner:- MAC BlackTrack
Brows:- Anastasia (Megan did these herself as she is the Brow Queen)
Blush:-  Hourglass Etheral Glow
Lashes:- Mascara plus false lashes

Me and Megs - I was a very dead Zombie Cheerleader

These photo's were taken with an iPhone and cropped but not filtered

 Zombie's with Laser Guns

It was, as I said, an amazing day and all for a great cause.  Thank you to all the amazing Zombie's who stopped by to play, see you next Zombie Walk.

Avant Garde - just a little bit of fun!!

We had an Avant Garde photoshoot a couple of weeks ago and it was alot of fun.  I wanted to represent Spring, butterflies and rainbows.  What do you think?

We had a great day including a shopping spree in MAC and Mecca; lunch of Slushies and Krispy Kreme doughnuts and finishing up with a fun train ride home.
